60th Anniversary Video

Howdy Friends & Fam!

We are excited about this video we are putting together for Mom & Dad’s 60th wedding anniversary on February 15th and we really hope you can take a couple of minutes to participate!

We know it may seem intimidating at first, being asked to create a video! What should I/we say? What should I/we wear? How the [blankety-blank] do I even do this? All fair questions!

Read on for some guidance, but please know that we are not asking for a major production here; the videos we have received so far are literally less than 10-second greetings with well wishes for a happy anniversary and that is PERFECT! Since we are not having a big party for this milestone event, this is a great way for you to make a quick appearance at a virtual party.

So think less about what to wear — please do wear SOMETHING — and find a time when you have a few minutes alone or with your significant other(s). It’s easiest if you do this directly from your phone so you can take advantage of the phone’s front-facing camera — just like taking a selfie — and then upload it immediately to the site.

1. Start by opening this link from your phone: https://share.vidday.com/e/a-1yu7sw
2. Scroll down and select “Submit Now”
3. Select “Camera or Files”
4. Select “Take Photo or Video”
5. Switch to “Video” and touch the icon that changes to the front camera
6. Click record and you’ll be live, recording your greeting!

When you are finished, click stop. You’ll have the option to review the video and you can use it as is or retake it as often as you like until you are satisfied with it. Once you submit it, you’re done! (Thank you!)

Finally, if it’s easier for you to record a video with your phone and email or text it to me, I can add it to the video for you. Email me at hugh@donagher.org. Text me at 210-426-7774.

If all of this still seems overwhelming, perhaps enlist the assistance of a tech-savvy friend or grandkid!

Please contact me if you have any questions or if I can be of any assistance!

Submission deadline is February 12, so please put this near the top of your already very full to-do list! Mom and Dad will love it, as will Krista and I. We are grateful for each and every submission and let us know if you want to see the finished product!
